What People Say About Them
Murray Boland, Creative Director: "Emma worked with CPL for four years. During that time we promoted her from Series Producer to Executive Producer. She was delightful to work with - a brilliantly collaborative colleague who communicated well with her team, the broadcasters she worked for and everyone in the company. She adapted 90 Day Fiance for a UK audience turning it into one of our best programmes and a huge hit for Discovery UK. She is a brilliant factual producer, very clever with formats, is a great story teller and brings warmth and humour to her programmes. I would not hesitation in recommending her."
Jack Richardson, Series Producer: "She is extremely creative with story telling and problem solving when we were under extreme time pressure. I would happily work under her leadership again."
Dermot Caulfield, Head of Factual and Fact Ent: "Emma ran a happy team that delivered way beyond the budget allocated. She was creative, tenacious and thoughtful. A joy to work with."
The Human Behind The CV
Emma was born in Liverpool and grew up in the Midlands, where both her parents were teachers at the comprehensive school she attended (just what every teen wants!). She went on to study English and German Literature at Warwick before spending a year in Berlin teaching English.
After graduating, she set off across Asia and South America (Japan is still on the bucket list), eventually settling in West London where she has spent most of her career.
With her two daughters flown the nest, she now splits her free time between gigs with her husband and walking her cockapoo through every green space she can find.
Whether in the edit or on a muddy trail, Emma brings calm, curiosity and great instincts wherever she goes.

Emma’s the real deal: a Showrunner with both creative vision and the people skills to match. She’s brilliant at tackling first series and building them from the ground up, running happy, high-performing teams, and keeping broadcasters and execs onside without ever losing sight of the story. Her career spans everything from Save Our Squad with David Beckham to 90 Day Fiancé UK, and she has a knack for taking big, transatlantic ideas and giving them warmth, humour, and emotional bite. Collaborative, tenacious, and sharp as they come, she’s the person you want leading the charge when it’s time to make something truly stand out. Emma is very keen to focus more on premium docs going forward.
