What People Say About Them
Production Exec: "I highly recommend Jess to work on any project - she is calm, dedicated, gets across things really quickly and always sees the bigger picture. She also has a sense of humour and takes things in her stride. She is very clear with budgets, explaining and condensing information as well as solving tricky problems. Also great at line managing. Our PMs work to a very high standard and most have considerable years of experience and Jess was incredibly well regarded. Jess is very much at Sr. PM level and ready to LP."
Investigations Editor: "Jess is one of the best PM's I've ever had. Great with people, super organised and driven to solve problems. Gutted when she left."
Liza Hodgson, Production Coordinator: "BBE Eye Investigations Russia China is such a difficult place to work in an incredibly hostile world. It's a relatively new department with ever changing obstacles. Jess came in and worked with us to put systems in place, workflows and best practice. Having never worked for the BBC she had a steep learning curve in BBC systems which she picked up quickly and used to mould an overall department and workflow. Importantly she listened to us when it didn't work and helped to improve it as she could, as she had a bigger picture view. She's fun, a great personality, a mentor, She was always on your side. I felt protected and supported. Would jump at the chance of working with her again and would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone."
The Human Behind The CV
Jessica studied Comparative American Studies at the University of Warwick, spending a year in Buenos Aires where she picked up Spanish and a love of Latin American culture. Her curiosity and appetite for adventure have taken her from Arctic Norway to the South Pacific, juggling logistics in every imaginable environment: from helicopters over Antarctica to underwater shoots in the Azores. When she’s not deep in risk assessments or spreadsheets, she’s likely doing something equally active: ballet, reformer Pilates, skiing or scuba diving. She’s a lifelong documentary fan and sports enthusiast, the sort of person who still cries at a great story well told.

Jess is the kind of production manager every complex shoot needs: calm under pressure, razor-sharp with detail, and quietly fearless when the stakes are high. She’s built a reputation for taking on the productions other people might hesitate to touch: from secret filming in Russia to underwater shoots in polar seas. She has not only managed a £1.8 million slate of high-risk investigations but also shaped new systems that have since been adopted across News & Current Affairs teams too. Colleagues describe her as pragmatic, diplomatic, endlessly resourceful and a natural problem-solver who gets things done with clarity and warmth.
