The Human Behind The CV
A self-professed history nerd, Tara can often be found wandering around museums and reading up on subjects from nuclear war to ancient Egypt.
Having been raised by Buddhist parents, Tara has a particular interest in Eastern religion and philosophy, as well as the Tibetan cause and subjects that explore the human condition, and issues around social / environmental justice and human rights.
She has been lucky enough to spend time in India, Nepal and Sri Lanka and has a strong network of people in those countries. She's also travelled (mostly solo) in Australia, California, Mexico, Nicaragua, Thailand, Vietnam and Europe.
She's also led film workshops for refugees at Southwark Day Centre for Asylum Seekers and loves writing in her spare time (from short stories to a feature film and television pilot script). She's always developing ideas and believes that the strongest films lie in the intersection between engagement and purpose, stories that uplift us and spark our imaginations as well as shining a light on aspects of our extraordinary world and being human.
She's currently teaching herself to edit and expanding her photography skills, and on weekends can be found running along the canal or tucked away in the cinema.

Tara is quietly fearless. She started in development at Raw & Nutopia and then moving on to production support at Violet Films and quickly proved herself indispensable to Oscar-winning producer Joanna Natasegara. Her career since has taken her from London and across the U.S., juggling projects with everyone from Prince Harry to Billie Eilish.
Tara brings both rigour and heart to every project she touches and has that rare blend of sharp editorial instinct and on-the-ground tenacity. She's now at that exciting career crossroads between story producer and producer/director a natural storyteller ready to take on bigger, more ambitious projects while keeping her trademark thoughtfulness intact.
