Despite her glossy and cinematic directing repertoire, Zoë was born into a farming family. She’s one of the only female directors who can also milk a cow, help with lambing season and halter-train a heifer.
A music obsessive since her teens, she's been known to fly 4,500 miles just to see her favourite band.
Zoë has been in front of the camera as well as behind it. After a stint as a DEF II on-air reporter, she somehow ended up as the resident atheist on BBC Two’s religious Sunday morning show, Heaven and Earth, bravely bringing doubt, logic, and mild disruption to a religious programme.
When she's not on a global shoot, she's likely volunteering at a refugee centre helping children with homework, down the gym or walking her scruffy Irish terrier. She must still keep farming hours to make it all happen!
