What People Say About Them
Morgana Pugh, Exec Producer: "'D-Day: The Unheard Tapes' was an unusually complex, innovative and ambitious series, requiring enormous creativity and vision from every team member. As the Series Producer, Zoe helmed the project with exceptional skill, creative leadership and storytelling sensibilities, across scripting, through the edits and post.
She managed the team to source testimony across the world, establishing access with families in very sensitive circumstances, in different languages. And that was just the beginning… on this series we aspired to capture the personal, intimate, unheard experiences of each of our contributors, and Zoe was fundamental to this approach.
As a colleague she is collaborative and approachable, but also clear-headed, determined and incisive. I wouldn’t hesitate to work with her again, and would welcome the opportunity to do so."
Series Director, "Zoe has exceptional integrity and is excellent programme maker."
Hannah Mirsky, Assistant Producer: "On a complex project with many moving parts and tight deadlines, Zoe provided calm and assured leadership. She was confident and collaborative, and as a junior member of the team I felt both sufficiently supported and trusted to do my job. I loved working for her!"
The Human Behind The CV
The same year Zoe started in TV, she also launched 'Brixton Blog & Bugle' - a local newspaper she ran for six years, complete with weekly hand-outs outside the tube station. A graduate of the ScreenSkills Series Producer Programme, she's currently at a career turning point - after ten years of series producing, she's exploring how to move up to exec producing whilst continuing to make premium documentary content. She's doing more development work and helping small indies with international ideas and markets. When not immersed in television production, she's usually found swimming and currently training for long outdoor swims.
