What People Say About Them
Chris McLaughlin, Showrunner: "Max is a smart, thoughtful, creative and editorially competent series director who would be just at home making a present tense observational film as he would a retrospective project. His strengths, from my experience, lie in large scale projects with big teams and big ambitions. He is able to work with challenging content, talent and contributors to get the very best out of them. His ability to take direction, collaborate with both senior and junior members of the team, as well as lead his team, is exceptional. He is a well liked and valued member of any team."
Thomas Read, Shooting PD: "I’ve worked with Max on a number of projects and have always found it to be overwhelmingly positive experience. He often draws out the best in people around him and creates a positive and collaborative working environment, that inspires and enables creativity and all whilst being a great leader and a lovely boss."

Whether he's coordinating military training exercises with celebrities or capturing authentic moments in high-pressure environments, he has that rare ability to balance ambitious production logistics with genuine editorial sensitivity. His collaborative approach means he draws out the best in both talent and crew, creating positive working environments even when dealing with challenging content or difficult contributors. Commissioners trust him to deliver polished, award-worthy content that works both creatively and commercially
